Foundations i'm loving!

The first one is maXfactor second skin foundation. I have used this foundation since i started wearing makeup and it has been my trusty go to foundation for a long time! I use the shade 'natural' when i dont have a tan and the shade 'warm almond' when i do. It is such a great foundation! It costs £12.99 in superdrug and boots, which is abit more pricey but it is well worth it. It sinks into your skin so well and it really does leave you looking like you have naturally gorgeous skin. I'd say its a medium coverage foundation but it can be easily built to achieve a full coverage and it won't leave your skin looking cakey what so ever. Great!!

The second one i've recently discovered is the Rimmel London wake me up foundation. I used the shade 'Ivory' in this. The reason i bought this was purely because it was on offer in wilkinsons when it first came out a couple of months ago for around £6, i think the normal price is about £8 which is still really affordable for a good foundation. I didn't have high hopes of it as i'd used other Rimmel foundations in the past and they had all been unsucccessful for my skin type. But i thought i needed to try out some new foundations other than maXfactor second skin. I was really surprised when i tested this one out and it worked as well as, if not even better than my trusty maXfactor! It left my skin looking dewey and gorgeous. It has quite a good coverage and again it is easily buildable without making your face look cakey! It also has to be one of the nicest smelling foundations i have EVER tried! It smells so fresh and fruity and it's lllarrrvvllyyyyy!

So, if you have dry skin like me i really reccomed you try these two foundations out! i dont think you'll be dissapointed!!

Going Red ..

Slight change! Sporting a poorly eye here .. all thanks to hayfever!

So, recently i decided i wanted abit of a change from my usual long black hair which i have had for many years now! i decided i'd make abit of a drastic change and go for bright red! although it didn't turn out as bright as i wanted i'll talk you through the procuts i used, what i done and the outcome :)

The first thing i used was schwarzkopf  xxl live in the shade platinum blonde. I used this to lighten my hair first before i applied the red as my hair was putch black. I left this on my head for about 20 minutes and it took me to a yellow/brown colour which was still quite dark so i was worried about how well the red would take over ...

Colour after the platinum blonde dye
After this stage i dried my hair and left it to rest for a hour or so before putting the red dye on. The dye i used was Directions hair dye in the shade 'coral red' costing £5 a pot.
I got this dye from a shop called 'Stange Fruits' near where i live. I'm not sure if they have shops in various different places but i can certianly look into if any of you are interested :)

So, i lathered this dye all over my head, making sure not to miss ANY spots atal. You'll probably need help from someone like i did to make sure you have covered all the back of your head :) Once all the dye is on cover your head in cling film or kitchen foil to trap the heat in, this makes the colour devolp faster and come out more vibrant. Also i wrapped a towel round my head to lock in extra heat. I left it on my hair for around 30 minutes then after washing i deep conditioned it for around a hour.

Hair after it was condioned and dryed
taa daaaaa!

And that's it! It didn't turn out anywhere near as bright as i was hoping but i still liked it and its a change! :)

Yeah we Level Up!

Sway Ft. Kelsey - Level  Up

So, how gorgeous is Kelsey McHugh?!
If you aren't aware of who she is (shame on you!) she did a colab with Sway on his most recent single called 'Level Up' .. amazing song! I've absolutely abused the replay button for this tune recently, deffo one of my top 5 songs at the moment!
I'd never really payed much attention to the video until last week when one of my friends pointed out that she thought i looked like Kelsey at the start on the video when she's sitting in the car (as in the above picture) .. crazy!! This inspired me to do Kelsey's makeup and hair look.

My attempt at Kelsey's look (:

And this is what it turned out like! Personally i can't see the resemblance haha! but it was fun attempting to copy her makeup look. Not so sure about the hair! SO not used to having no extentions in!
